Tone mapping appropriate for specific images using brightness and histogram modification

چکیده

This paper proposes an algorithm that can improve performance by searching for tone mapping optimized for three types of images through image analysis while maintaining a tone mapping shape based on human visual characteristics. The algorithm uses the optimized Retinex-based color restoration technique by analyzing three types of images based on luminance: highand low-luminance images and images with a large difference in luminance. The technique prevents excessive smoothing and is good at preserving details and real image data. After the illumination component of images is reduced and the reflectance component is increased to maximize the visual characteristics of humans, the tone-mapping technique optimized to three specific types of images is compared and analyzed through experiments; thus, a tone-mapping technique appropriate for specific images is proposed.
